Responsibilities

Develops innovative written content and maintains design and layout of website to support the College’s image, identity, and brands. Creates stories to engage audiences and increase market penetration

Collaborates with department and college representatives to create and produce engaging storytelling to market the College and program offerings on websites

Reviews and edits content to conform with the College’s branding and editorial standards. Examines websites to ensure comprehensive information is accurate and easily available to current and prospective students, the public, faculty, and staff

Assists with the creation of departmental overview pages

Proofreads pages created by other writers

Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Required

Associate degree

Two years of related experience

Knowledge of Modern Campus OmniUpdate or similar Web Content Management software

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or similar applications

Knowledge of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML)

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar application

Skilled in website design and media production

Skilled in writing in a positive manner to reflect favorably upon the organization

Skilled in attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management

Skilled in delivering a high level of customer service

Ability to interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public

Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
