Responsibilities

Develop data visualizations and dashboards using analytics tools (primarily Google Looker) that give the campus insights into our business operations, student success, and more
Perform exploratory data analysis to identify data trends and anomalies, finding insights the users may be interested in
Analyze data integrity issues and work with data engineers and data stewards to resolve issues and provide proactive monitoring of quality
Consult with data stewards to gather and clarify data definitions for highly complex business intelligence solutions and analytics
Ensure that all reporting and development processes and standards are adhered to during the entire data request lifecycle
Serve as a technical lead on the team with deep knowledge of our tools, best practices, and semantic modeling
Provide guidance and support to other team members as required

Required

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
6 - 10 years of related experience
In-depth knowledge of business intelligence functions, advanced analytics, industry standards and best practices
Advanced knowledge and skill in internal databases, BI applications, tools, and systems
Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills to manage highly-complex information, assess problems, and develop effective solutions
Advanced organizational and project management skills
Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in a clear, concise manner. Ability to produce and deliver presentations to diverse audiences
Advanced interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with managers, professional and technical staff
Ability to serve as an advanced technical leader providing advice, counsel, and analysis on business intelligence issues
Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team
Working knowledge of business intelligence technologies such as Looker, PowerBI, Cognos, SPSS, Tableau, etc
Working knowledge of Financial reporting, in particular from Oracle Fusion ERP (finance, procurement)
Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion data model, including the Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC) extracts/Business Intelligence Standard views (PVOs)
