Senior Human Resources Consultant
PEPL is seeking an experienced HR Consultant with experience in the nonprofit industry and HR department functional assessments to support a client engagement. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, offering strategic insight and hands-on support in evaluating and optimizing HR operations, systems, policies, and compliance practices.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive HR department functional assessments, including evaluations of policies, procedures, systems, workflows, and compliance
Partner with HR leadership to develop and implement process improvements across all functional areas of HR
Provide guidance on organizational structure, talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations best practices
Ensure HR operations align with the company’s strategic objectives and compliance requirements
Travel to client site as needed to conduct in-person assessments, training, or implementation support
Review, update, and create HR policies and employee handbooks in line with federal, state, and local regulations
Qualification
Required
5+ years of progressive HR experience, including consulting or advisory roles
Strong background in conducting HR operational audits or functional assessments
In-depth knowledge of HR policies, compliance, and best practices across multiple HR functions
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Ability to be onsite as required by client engagements
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
Preferred
Experience working with multiple clients or within complex organizational environments is a plus
