Superintendent I

In this role, you will support senior superintendents in managing construction activities and ensure quality, safety, and schedule alignment across job sites for multi-family and mixed-use development projects.

Responsibilities

Identify root causes of hazards, delays, and quality concerns and support solutions that reduce project risk
Monitor designated subcontractors, tracking performance, productivity, and adherence to schedule
Partner with the Superintendent and Project Manager to review and update construction schedules
Ensure all quality control standards are met across major construction phases (framing, roofing, finishes, etc.)
Participate in daily and weekly project meetings
Create, issue, and track RFIs
Assist with inspections alongside sub‑code officials
Maintain daily onsite documentation, including subcontractor sign‑ins and ProCore logs
Provide leadership that reinforces safety, quality, and adherence to project plans
Enforce safe work practices in compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license (and insurance where required)
Minimum of 1 year of residential construction experience with exposure to all phases of development
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office
Ability to plan, prioritize, and collaborate effectively
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Analytical and problem‑solving skills
Understanding of construction plans, documentation packages, and building codes
Ability to stand, walk, kneel, climb ladders/stairs, and lift at least 30 lbs regularly
Comfort working on rooftops, balconies, and similar elevated areas
Exposure to noise, dust, weather, and other jobsite conditions (PPE provided)
Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines

Preferred

Vocational/technical construction coursework preferred
OSHA 30 certification preferred
Construction Supervisor License preferred
