Power Electronics Engineer

Qualification
Required
Doctoral degree or MA degree and 3-5+ years of direct experience, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field with a strong background in physical sciences
Experience in power electronics and controls. Experience with one or more modeling tools, such as Simulink, Typhoon-HIL, Ansys, Spice circuit modeling, or their equivalent
Proficiency in a high-level programming language such as Python, MATLAB/ Simulink
Hands-on lab experience with hardware: high power measurement and data collection, circuit design, PCB layout/rework, soldering, utilizing test equipment in a lab to test and debug (electronic loads, power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators)
Ability to work independently and as part of team
Preferred
Experience in power circuit modeling, power converter design and controls, battery selection, system integration, and testing, real-time simulations with inverter-based resources (BESS, PV) within microgrids
