Account Manager

The Jor-Mac Company is seeking an Account Manager who will be responsible for managing and growing assigned customer accounts. This role focuses on customer retention, revenue growth, and operational alignment, ensuring customer requirements are effectively communicated and executed across internal teams.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
Build strong, long-term relationships with customer stakeholders
Conduct regular customer check-ins, reviews, and performance discussions
Understand customer business needs, production requirements, and future demand
Grow assigned accounts through increased share of wallet, new part introductions, and upselling opportunities
Collaborates with Sales, Engineering, and Operations on quoting, pricing, and contract terms
Support new customer onboarding and product launches
Identify opportunities for margin improvement and cost optimization
Coordinate customer forecasts and demand planning with Operations
Ensure accurate order entry, pricing alignment, and delivery expectations
Monitor order status and proactively address delivery, quality, or capacity risks
Support S&OP processes by providing customer insights and demand signals
Act as the internal voice of the customer
Drive timely resolution of customer issues and escalations
Prepare customer-facing reports and internal summaries as needed
Assists with customer inquiries as requested by Customer Service/Inside Sales
Plans and hosts customer visits to Jor-Mac facility
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
Adhere to all Jor-Mac and OSHA safety related work rules and procedures
Other duties as assigned or required

Required

Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of five (5) years of previous sales experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
Positive attitude with high energy, self-motivated
Possess a high degree of integrity
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Strategic thinker with ability to develop new customer opportunities
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, results oriented
Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
Drive to succeed with a strong commitment to quality and a willingness to do whatever it takes to satisfy the customer
Solid knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be willing to travel 40% of the time
