Responsibilities
Draft estate planning documents, including wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
Research and prepare legal memoranda and opinions, strategy recommendations, mediation briefs, and settlement agreements
Draft probate and conservatorship petitions and make court appearances
Analyze California case law, legislation, and local court rules
Answer estate and trust-related questions, including reviewing wills and trusts and analyzing them in light of each unique circumstance (e.g., family dynamics, financial situations, etc.)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date files (digital and hard copy)
Work collaboratively to ensure smooth, efficient, and timely service
Seek opportunities to improve skills and expertise
Qualification
Required
1–3 years of legal experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters
Licensed to practice law in California
Excellent legal advocacy, research, and writing skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Commitment to professionalism
Flexibility with the types of matters assigned
Preferred
3–5 years of legal experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters
Tax experience is a plus
