The Cost Analyst plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, reducing cost exposure, and driving process efficiencies across construction projects.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with project management as part of the cost control team
Analyze project financials and prepare invoices where applicable
Research and interpret expenses to advise on cost control strategies
Review and analyze project budgets to monitor costs versus forecasts
Provide financial analysis to support decisions made by project and executive teams
Manage the budget import process and ensure accuracy in cost tracking
Utilize forecasting tools such as GC forecasting and Gain/Fade charts
Evaluate project production summaries and vendor production rates for accuracy
Identify and resolve accounting or reporting discrepancies
Recommend cost reduction and process improvement strategies
Conduct process reviews and implement efficiency enhancements
Prepare and distribute monthly project reports
Oversee project closeout processes and ensure timely completion of deliverables
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar or related role (construction experience preferred)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and mathematical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Demonstrated leadership and initiative
