Responsibilities

Apply specialized knowledge and mastery of advanced engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods to ensure assigned projects remain consistent with program objectives, costs, schedules, performance criteria, and existing policies
Advise in the science and practice of aeronautics involving airborne vehicles traversing the earth’s atmosphere and space flight
Assist in developing and applying the means of testing, evaluation, life prediction, and standardization of materials and their properties for use in engineering designs and projects
Assist in the generation and interpretation of technical data such as 2D drawings and 3D models
Perform mechanical/aerospace/materials engineering work involving the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes to the acquisition, development, and sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment
Assist with planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating significant and complex projects involving the science of mechanical engineering to include: Statics, Dynamics, Tribology, Mechanical wear, Fatigue, Corrosion, Fluid dynamics, Thermodynamics, Heat transfer

Required

U.S. Citizenship
Master's degree with individual research development plus 25 years related experience
OR PhD with individual research development plus 25 years related experience
Recognized at national level in a relevant technical field, specialized engineering, or technology area
Published in the area of expertise and have taught formally in the area (conference/symposium)
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
In addition to the requirements in 3.5, the Contractor shall apply specialized knowledge and mastery of advanced engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods to ensure assigned projects remain consistent with program objectives, costs, schedules, performance criteria, and existing policies
