Responsibilities
Assist with legal research and preparation of memoranda, briefs, and opinions
Participate in the preparation and review of contracts, ordinances, and other legal documents
Attend court hearings, city meetings, and administrative proceedings
Collaborate with city attorneys and legal support staff on projects as needed
Project assignments will depend on Law Department needs with consideration given to the intern's skills and expressed interests
Complete a minimum of 100 work hours during the semester
Qualification
Required
Graduate or undergraduate students of any major interested in careers or advanced study in law, public administration, and municipal governance
Assist with legal research and preparation of memoranda, briefs, and opinions
