Government Administration
Responsibilities
Supervise permanent, seasonal and volunteers daily; prepare work schedule for staff
Plans, schedules, and supervises daily maintenance and repair work on bathrooms, cabins, office buildings and other buildings
Oversees the operation, maintenance, and repair of septic systems
Trains and directs grounds maintenance crews on mowing and trimming equipment
Maintains detailed records of maintenance schedules, inspections and equipment usage
Procures all materials, services or equipment for projects in line with state procurement guidelines
Assists the Park Manager 3 with budgeting, procurement, and seasonal staffing plans
Assists in Park Office as needed
Performs related duties as required
Qualification
Required
Seven years of experience working in a park, recreational facility, or campus including two years of managerial experience
A bachelor's or higher level degree in environmental education, environmental management, environmental policy, environmental sustainability, forestry, golf course management, historic preservation, horticulture, natural resources management, park administration, park management or recreation management AND three years of experience working within a park, recreational facility, or campus including two years of managerial experience
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State
