Responsibilities
Design and analysis of imaging/sensing systems
Developing/analyzing optical architectures to meet performance & quality standards
Translate concepts into robust optical designs
Support prototype development, integration, alignment, and test activities
Work with multi-disciplinary groups to ensure end-to-end system performance
Provide technical leadership
Interface with DoD customers, prime contractors, and internal program teams
Help generate related documentation
Qualification
Required
BS/MS EE, Optical Engineering or Physics, Electrical Engineering
8+ years of in optical design
Proficiency with Zemax OpticStudio, CODE V, or equivalent
Hands-on skills in optical fabrication, alignment, and verification
Security Clearance not required but would be considered
Preferred
Have previously developed hardware for DoD or other government customers
Knowledge of thermal modeling as related to optical performance
Familiarity with ITAR/EAR regulations
