Robotics Systems Intern
Smart Mirror LLC is building an inspection-first humanoid robotics platform for data centers, HVAC systems, and industrial facilities. The Robotics Systems Intern will support demos, pilots, and early customer engagements, focusing on understanding robotics systems and assisting in technical discussions.

Responsibilities
Learn and document current system capabilities, limitations, and Beta constraints
Support live demos and pilot discussions as technical backup
Help explain, at a systems level: Humanoid and mobile robotics concepts, Autonomy vs supervised operation, Sensors, perception, and inspection workflows
Create lightweight internal materials: Demo checklists and scripts, “What’s supported / what’s not” summaries, FAQs for data center and HVAC environments
Work closely with: Founder (product and technical direction), Growth lead engaging Houston data centers, HVAC and facilities consultants

This is a systems-understanding + demo-support role
Have a background in robotics, computer science, AI, or related fields
Understand robotics systems at a conceptual or applied level
Can clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Are comfortable operating in an early-stage, ambiguous environment
Work Authorization: Open to U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and international candidates
F-1 students (CPT / OPT) are welcome where legally permitted
No immediate visa sponsorship required
Compensation (Monthly): Starting range: $2,500–$4,000 per month (initial ramp-up), Post-ramp range: $4,500–$7,000 per month based on performance and responsibility
Preferred
Full-time preferred; part-time also open for experienced candidates
Bonus (not required): ROS, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or similar
Exposure to industrial systems, HVAC, or data centers
