Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive on-site and remote technical support to clients across the Greater Houston area
Serve as an escalation resource for more complex technical issues
Implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktop and server environments
Configure, optimize, and secure network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
Deploy and manage cloud solutions, particularly in Microsoft Azure
Administer VMware virtualization platforms
Install, configure, and maintain Fortinet security equipment including switches and firewalls
Develop and implement security best practices across client environments
Create and maintain detailed documentation for all client networks ("Guidebooks")
Perform regular preventative maintenance and system updates to minimize downtime
Respond to and resolve client technical emergencies within established SLAs
Build and maintain professional relationships with client contacts
Qualification
Required
High School diploma/GED or equivalent
3-5 years of relevant technical and customer service experience
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online
Experience implementing and managing cloud services (particularly Microsoft Azure)
Experience configuring Fortinet devices, including firewall policies and security profiles
Direct experience with Windows Server platforms, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory/Azure (User Management/Administration)
Practical knowledge of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, and switching
Working knowledge of common TCP/IP services including HTTP, FTP, DNS, and DHCP
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently with limited supervision
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts
Proficiency with VMware virtualization technologies
Demonstrated proficiency with Windows 10/11 desktop operating systems
Creative thinking and an innovative approach to technical challenges
Ability to coordinate and work effectively with business stakeholders and technical resources
Capable of working under pressure in time-critical situations
Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required
