Senior Associate - IT Controls Analyst (A-123)

Responsibilities
Lead annual IT risk scoping and planning to identify high-risk systems, applications, data centers, SSMs, and contractors impacting financial reporting
Map and evaluate IT controls against ARS/CMSR and NIST SP 800-53/53A, assessing inherent, control, and fraud risks
Develop and maintain IT control documentation, including cycle memos, narratives, flowcharts, and control matrices
Assess the design and operating effectiveness of IT general controls and application controls
Develop and execute IT control test plans and sampling methodologies in accordance with OMB A-123 and GAO FISCAM guidance
Validate remediation of prior-year findings, classify control deficiencies, and support CAP development and tracking
Prepare and present IT-related A-123 assurance documentation, audit results, emerging risks, and CAP status to leadership and governance bodies
Serve as a technical liaison with A-123 teams, system owners, contractors, and federal auditors while ensuring compliance and quality documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
2+ years of progressive IT audit or IT risk management experience within a federal agency
1+ years of experience applying federal IT control frameworks, including FISMA, FISCAM, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53/53A
1+ years of experience supporting OMB Circular A-123, Appendix A IT control testing and assurance activities
Preferred
Ability to coordinate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including federal clients, contractors, and external auditors
Strong documentation, analytical, and written communication skills
IT professional certification such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM are preferred
Prior experience supporting federal financial management environments
Familiarity with federal shared service providers
