Responsibilities

Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management
Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects
Career level, fully competent environmental engineering professional
Independently performs a variety projects or selected segments of larger projects
Plans, schedules, conducts, and/or coordinates detailed phases of assigned project work
Works closely with senior-level project managers to gain additional project management experience for more complex and larger projects
May devise new approaches to problems encountered
May serve as a team leader in medium projects and mentor junior level scientists/engineers
Performs complex scientific analyses on projects of own discipline
May attend on and off-site client meetings
Implements technical requirements to complete client projects by directing and supervising field staff to sample, test and collect data and/or document site activities
Responsible for developing written proposals to clients for both small and large projects including quality control review of proposals written by others
Evaluates complex laboratory and field data and assembles in written reports
Works under the supervision of an Authorized Project Reviewer

Required

Experience managing site investigation and remedial efforts for facilities under Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) regulatory programs (USTMP, Brownfield, VRP, etc.) required
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related degree
Minimum 5-8 years' experience
Professional Engineer (PE) registration
Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history

Preferred

Experience in UST remediation system design and implementation preferred
Experience managing/working on United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Brownfield grant projects preferred
Master's degree in Environmental Engineering preferred
