Responsibilities

Assist the Correctional Administrative Services Manager in the handling of the administrative process

Supervise staff in purchasing, operation of canteens, warehouse, inmate and officer clothes house, mailroom, equipment control, operating and welfare budgets, accounting, data processing and maintaining the inmate trust fund

Oversee all purchases at the institution based on the Department of Adult Correction Fiscal Policy and Procedures

Responsible for equipment/inventory control, motor vehicles log, expense vouchers, cashless canteen operations, Inmate Trust Fund Operations and Incentive Wage Operations

Assist in Personnel

Produce and create forms

Compose memos and type various types of correspondence

Required

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must have knowledge of Word, BEACON, Excel, Access, and other office equipment

Must be able to produce and create forms; compose memos and type various types of correspondence

Documented knowledge of effective supervisory skills

Documented knowledge of office techniques

Documented knowledge of both oral and written communication skills
