.NET Software Developer
WeVote is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization focused on helping voters make informed decisions through technology. They are seeking a .NET Software Developer to implement enhancements, fix bugs, and maintain shape files for voter ballots, while collaborating with engineers and participating in team meetings.

Implement new enhancements
Fix occasional bugs
Add, update, and maintain shape files which are used to construct each voter’s customized ballots based on their postal address. Shape files are used to convert postal addresses into geographical latitude and longitude parameters, which in turn, are then used to determine the various office contests on ballots
Respond to AWS server maintenance requirements, like system software sunsets, i.e. the MySQL version we were using
Coordinate with WeVote’s engineers to enable Vote USA’s data to be integrated into WeVote’s platform
Participate in weekly Zoom meetings
Qualification
Required
Experience with C#
Experience with JavaScript
Experience with jQuery
Experience with .Net
Experience with CSS/HTML
10+ hours per week during core team hours M-F 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. (in your own time zone)
A willingness to work with and support other volunteers
Preferred
Passion for politics
Excited to use technology to educate voters and increase voter turnout
Experience with AWS
Experience with Visual Studio
Experience with MySQL
Experience with server maintenance
