They are seeking a Production Intern who will assist in learning manufacturing and prototype concepts while performing various shop assistant duties. The role involves operating machines, maintaining a clean work environment, and supporting production activities.

Responsibilities
Operate machines as qualified
Lift, position, and remove workpieces from machines to assist with fitting and welding
Load, stack, and transport stock, tools, dies, and work in process manually or using a truck
Clean and scrape metal surfaces for fabrication, welding, painting, or shipping
Pick up scrap from work areas
Maintain a clean work environment with machines, tools, and equipment
Load and unload production machinery following posted instructions
Conduct visual safety inspections at the start of each shift and record findings
Report any abnormality in parts or machinery to the Supervisor or Lead hand
Support changes to machines or jobs as directed by the Supervisor or Lead hand
Address any other reasonable requests from Supervisor or Management
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Currently enrolled in a college or university
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong technical and analytical skills in select areas of technology
Highly motivated to work, learn, and teach
Preferred
Some related experience preferred
