Responsibilities
Prepare, update, and revise CAD drawings for engineering plans
Produce construction-ready drawings from sketches, redlines, and markups
Coordinate with engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards
Maintain organized drawing files and version control
Incorporate field conditions, as-built information, and contractor feedback into drawings
Assist with permit, bid, and construction drawing sets
Follow company CAD standards and NYC construction requirements
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a CAD Technician or Draftsperson in the construction or engineering industry
Proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
Familiarity with construction documents, plan sets, and industry terminology
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred
Experience working with engineering firms (structural or civil)
Knowledge of NYC construction practices, codes, or permitting processes
Experience with redlines and coordination across disciplines
Associate's degree or technical training in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field
