The role focuses on ensuring operational efficiency and excellence within Electric Transmission Line and Substation Engineering processes, tracking project financials, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop long-term strategies.

Responsibilities
On a monthly basis, track, report, and monitor project, program, or blanket financials and milestones
Identify and monitor risks to the engineering workplans including major permit issues or restrictions, logistical problems, material issues, and cost constraints or contractual problems and recommend appropriate action
Communicate project requirements and schedules to internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with Engineering Leadership and Project Management to develop strategies for the 5+ year workplan
Challenge existing processes and continuously seek ways to do things better to drive greater efficiencies for the business
Produce high level and detailed forecasting models and work schedules to support senior management in defining resource planning strategies
Manage Transmission & Substation Engineering workplans and implement resource strategies to meet regulatory, budgetary, and jurisdictional goals for the New York Electric Portfolio
Analyze and monitor resource and financial forecasts within portfolio using project management software (Primavera P6) for optimal workplan delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of project and/or program management or related experience required
Proven ability to develop, gather, organize, analyze, and interpret data utilizing the Microsoft Office suite of programs required
Valid driver's license required
Preferred
Experience to include program management, engineering resource planning, functional management, engineering planning or operationally related areas
Proficiency in project and work management software including Primavera (P6) and Power Plant preferred
Familiarity with transmission line and substation engineering, design, permitting, construction, and closeout activities preferred
