The Unit Secretary is responsible for managing communications, performing clerical duties, processing physicians' orders, and maintaining unit records while also assisting in training new personnel.

Maintains unit charts, records, supplies and equipment

Acts as the direct line of communication between the patient care unit and support services

Qualification

Basic Life SupportClerical dutiesTraining new personnelCommunication skills

Required

High School diploma or equivalent

Basic Life Support required within 2 weeks of hire

Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
