Kelly Science is seeking a Chief Scientific Officer for a growing company located in Boston, MA to drive innovation in bioengineering, NAMs and mini heart technologies. The CSO will lead the internal R&D pipeline, craft scientific strategy, and ensure the company remains a global leader in advancing cardiac disease modeling and mini heart technology validations.

Responsibilities

Define and lead the company's long-term scientific vision and strategic direction

Develop and execute strategies for the company's mini heart technology, focusing on cardiac diseases and toxicity testing

Oversee all scientific research activities, ensuring rigor, compliance, and excellence in laboratory operations

Lead, mentor, and recruit multidisciplinary scientific teams to foster innovation and collaboration

Drive intellectual property creation, patent filings, and IP protection strategies

Represent the company externally through publications, conference presentations, and engagement with advisory boards

Translate laboratory discoveries into marketable products and services for clients, including pharmaceutical partners

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (internally and externally) to ensure successful commercialization of scientific products and technologies, aligning scientific objectives with market needs
