Responsibilities
Proficiency in bridges and structures pertaining to engineered solutions for temporary structures and support systems such as girder lift plans and shoring wall systems
Concrete Formwork/Falsework Design, Shoring Wall Systems, other structural concrete, steel, timber designs
Experience with permanent and design-build projects with the SC/NC DOT
Manage and develop a team of Project Engineers
Have an in-depth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes, design criteria, and structural mechanics
Design of Permanent Structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, MSE Walls
Assist with project log updates and maintenance
Assist with implementation of new software (OpenBridge, 3D CAD, DatuBIM, etc.)
Identify and assist with the preparation of value engineering proposals
Oversee the design of temporary structures including temporary bridges, barge analysis, concrete, steel, girders, heavy lift plans, trestles, permanent structures
Qualification
Required
BS in Structural or Civil Engineering
Professional Engineering license
8-20 years of relevant engineering experience
Experience with permanent and temporary structures and construction engineering
PE licensure within the United States and ability to obtain additional licensure and certifications as required
Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as OpenBridge, AutoCAD, MicroStation, or related software
Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Legally able to work in the US
