The NYS Office of Information Technology Services is seeking an Information Technology Specialist 3 within the Dedicated Support team. The incumbent will develop and maintain .NET applications, troubleshoot production issues, and work with databases to support the agency's software needs.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain .NET applications to support OTDA's SLA's, work requests, and software bugs

Troubleshoot production issues within the .NET applications and core technologies

Work with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle databases

Package and deploy applications as defined by agency and security standards

Required

One year of permanent competitive services as an Information Technology Specialist 3 (Programming) OR in a position at G-21 or higher deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law OR in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law

Candidates must be reachable on the current eligible list for this title in order to be list appointed

Documentation that they are authorized to accept work in the United States on a permanent basis

Some positions may require fingerprinting

Some positions may require up to 25% travel and/or lifting up to 50 lbs
