Technical Sales Account Manager

Responsibilities
Serve as the main technical point of contact for existing and new automotive (OEMs, Tier 1s) and Industrial Customers
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key technical and engineering decision-makers and stakeholders at various levels
Conduct regular customer product and technical visits to ensure quality, design and overall VA/VE satisfaction is in place while promoting and jointly identifying new opportunities
Support and identify new opportunities to grow existing business and secure new sales opportunities through VAVE for Common Rail Diesel, Generator Set Tubing, High Pressure Hydrogen (TOPAQ) and Test Machines (PPM)
Actively pursue new business targets with existing and new customers in the automotive and Industrial sectors, targeting new technologies or customer improvement plans (NPI)
Work with the Engineering Teams in Europe to prepare and submit compelling technical VAVE and NPI proposals for new and existing business
Utilize technical knowledge on VAVE and NPI to support the contract negotiations
Become the Technical Go to Team Member for The Americas on customer programs from initial request for quotation (RFQ) through to full production launch
Coordinate with internal Engineering teams R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, to ensure customer VAVE and NPI requirements are accurately translated and executed
Understand and utilize competitor designs and technical opportunities to introduce Poppe-Potthoff products and services
Track program progress, profitability, and customer satisfaction
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Proficiency in CAD, STEP, CATIA software
Expertise in metallurgical and chemical Composition knowledge and High-Pressure Powertrain Applications
Exceptional communication skills
Preferred
Basic understanding of the German language a plus
