Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders across Investment Portfolios, Trust Services, Retirement Planning, Alternative Investments, Insurance Advisory, and Capital Markets to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications for development teams
Support the full project lifecycle including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, implementation, and post-deployment support
Partner with technology teams to design scalable, compliant solutions aligned with business goals and regulatory standards (e.g., SEC, FINRA, DOL)
Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights across investment and client service domains
Design and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel to support strategic decision-making
Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple systems including CRM, portfolio management, and trust accounting platforms
Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to define data requirements, ensure data quality, and support the development of robust data pipelines
Establish and enforce data governance standards, including data lineage, metadata management, data quality rules, and access controls
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA or CFA is a plus
8-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, preferably within wealth management, investment advisory, or capital markets
Strong understanding of investment products, trust and estate planning, retirement solutions, alternative investments, and insurance advisory
Proven experience in data analysis, data visualization, and reporting
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Demonstrated experience in data governance, including data quality management, metadata standards, and data stewardship
Familiarity with data privacy and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SEC, FINRA)
Experience with business analysis tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
