Manager, Drug & Alcohol Compliance
National Grid is hiring a Manager for their NE Drug & Alcohol Compliance department. The Drug & Alcohol Compliance Manager is responsible for leading the compliance team and ensuring adherence to drug and alcohol regulations throughout the New England Business Unit.

Responsibilities
Provide guidance to all colleagues within the New England Business Unit on all drug and alcohol related matters
Provide information and consultation regarding drug and alcohol matters to HR business partners, Labor Relations, and Legal
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of National Grid’s drug and alcohol compliance programs
Responsible for managing the relationship with National Grid’s Third-Party Administrator which includes interpretation and application of established company policies, collective bargaining agreements, and state and federal drug and alcohol regulations
Manage and coordinate all drug and alcohol testing including random, pre-employment, follow up, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and return to duty
Manage the mandatory referral process through National Grid’s Employee Assistance Program
Maintain a working knowledge of state and federal regulations as well as industry standards for drug & alcohol compliance. Specifically, 49 CFR Parts 40, 199, and 382
This position involves extensive interaction with employees, both management and union, from all functions within the New England Business Unit
Responsible for providing coverage for Absence Management Director as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in related fields
Experience managing drug and alcohol compliance programs
Ability to lead and develop a team of management analysts
Working knowledge and understanding of US Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing regulations
Understanding of company sick-leave benefits and applicable federal and state leave regulations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective relationship management skills
Ability to make timely and effective decisions
Demonstrated proficiency in applicable information systems
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent computer and data analysis skills (Microsoft Office suite)
