Responsibilities

Discovers, prepares and delivers new partnership opportunities to deepen existing relationships for Nationwide. Uses market insights and data to discover and align growth opportunities
Deep understanding and ability to apply how current environment, macro trends, industry changes impacts and inform strategic alignment opportunities
Develops and deploys a consistent firm activation strategy and recommendations to elevate partner opportunity
Orchestrates plans that create a favorable brand impression, winning profitable new mandates and making the business case for new products and services
Seeks to expand relationships by uncovering opportunities for growth, creating the appropriate connections with client firms, gaining specific insights and access for NF sales teams and working to ensure the team is priority focused
Creates and maintains the appropriate relationships and communication protocols required for NF Leaders, colleagues and wholesalers to feel engaged, informed and on-board with strategic partner plans. Exhibits executive presence and confidently communicates with senior leaders inside of both Nationwide (NFLT) and our firm partners
Proactively works to identify appropriate opportunities for the strategic use of resources to create brand and access wins for the NF team
Collaborates with business partners including sales teams, marketing, Nationwide Retirement Institute, leadership and others, to implement, execute, and monitor firm tactics and firm growth opportunities
Partners across Strategic Account Management to align activation tactics, specifically within the firm account team and operational excellence to understand and drive return on investment and firm experience to drive partner activities
Acts as leader/coach to account team for assigned firm(s). Managing, motivating and engaging matrix team members
Student of the industry, keeping abreast of market conditions, legislation, M&A activity and other external factors that may influence the financial sales process. Share and communicate firm intelligence, in partnership with the account team

Required

Undergraduate studies in business, finance, sales marketing or related field of study preferred
FINRA Series 6/7, and Series 63 licenses
Eight years of related, proven sales and financial sales leadership experience preferred
Knowledge of financial industry, consulting, planning and implementation and tracking results
Demonstrated ability to successfully apply principles of sales, marketing and leadership to address most complex sales management opportunities and challenges
Ability to lead indirectly through influence and represent the NF brand in the marketplace
