The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing automotive electrical systems, creating electrical schematics, and supporting vehicle-level electrical testing.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and review automotive electrical systems including power distribution, grounding, and signal circuits
Create and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit designs using automotive ECAD tools
Perform wiring harness design and development, including connector selection, wire sizing, routing, splices, and protection (fuses, relays)
Collaborate with mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams to ensure proper integration of electrical components
Support vehicle-level electrical testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities
Conduct electrical testing such as continuity checks, insulation resistance, voltage/current measurements, and functional testing
Assist in vehicle build, prototype support, and issue resolution during development and testing phases
Ensure compliance with automotive standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements
Support DFMEA, electrical reviews, and change management processes
Prepare technical documentation, test reports, and validation results

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
Strong experience in the automotive industry (OEM or Tier-1)
Hands-on experience with:
Wiring harness design and development
Electrical schematics and circuit design
Vehicle electrical systems
Electrical and vehicle-level testing
Knowledge of automotive components such as ECUs, sensors, actuators, relays, fuses, and connectors
Experience with automotive ECAD tools (e.g., CATIA Electrical, Capital, Zuken E3, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar)
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues at component and vehicle level
Familiarity with automotive standards (e.g., ISO, SAE, OEM electrical guidelines)

Preferred

Experience with EV/Hybrid vehicle electrical systems
Knowledge of CAN, LIN, FlexRay, or basic automotive networking
Experience supporting DV/PV testing and vehicle integration
Exposure to manufacturing, service, or field issue resolution
