Responsibilities
Design and build scalable backend services that power payment flows
Own features and services from concept through to production
Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams
Make practical architectural decisions around APIs, data, and performance
Improve reliability, observability, and scalability as usage grows
Help set engineering standards and mentor junior engineers
Qualification
Required
5+ years of backend software engineering experience
Strong experience with Python, Java, Go, or similar backend languages
Background in building APIs and distributed systems
Comfortable working with cloud-native infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Startup mindset — ownership, bias for action, and comfort with ambiguity
Must be U.S. based and eligible to work without sponsorship
Preferred
Payments, FinTech, or high-scale SaaS experience
Experience with event-driven systems or messaging tools
Interest in platform scalability and system design
