Responsibilities

Take part in the organization, design, and management of new aircraft avionics and weapons systems within an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to meet program and customer defined requirements
Design, interface, and test multiple electronic systems in a modular architecture to meet MOSA, Safety, Security, Environmental, EMI and performance requirements while working within flexible parameters
Create data interfaces for ethernet, serial and various avionics bus protocols and support throughout the entire avionics and weapon system development life cycle from requirements definition to product deployment
Manage avionics and mission systems suppliers via specifications and statements of work
Estimate and manage schedules, budgets, and technology to customer standards
Collaborate with Bell Engineers from other disciplines to include electrical power, communication systems, airframe structures, aircraft survivability equipment and ISR systems
Work directly on the aircraft to test and verify that all systems meet performance requirements when installed

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered
Minimum 2 years or more of experience in one or more of the following avionics disciplines: RF communications, data links, navigation, crew station design, displays, open processing environments, aircraft survivability equipment, optical sensors, radar and antenna integration, vehicle management systems, weapons systems or health monitoring systems
Familiarity with electrical schematics and wiring diagrams supporting wiring diagrams and harness creation
Aircraft installation, functional testing, and troubleshooting
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving system integration/verification issues
Demonstrated ability to lead teams in development, integration, validation, and verification of systems
Avionics architecture design experience
Ability to prepare aircraft level analysis
Familiarity with weapons systems and integration of weapons
