Zobility is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead to oversee all CARE mechanical conveyor discussions. This role requires leading assembly, paint, and body shop activities while ensuring compliance with industry standards and managing project-related discussions.

Responsibilities

This position will be the lead individual responsible for all CARE mechanical conveyor discussions

This individual must be proficient in 2D acad. They will lead all assembly, paint and body shop activities

The majority of this individuals' time will be spent in the Detroit area, long stretches will be onsite in Belvidere, IL and Toledo, OH at the plant work site

This individual must have a thorough understanding of all types of conveyor systems, Power & Free, overhead, inverted, EMS, Roller, Friction drive, skillet, pallet systems, air-b-drip, etc

Lead all conveyors related discussions and issue tracking

In-depth understandings shall include; cording studies, chain pulls, drive studies, vertical curve studies, cycle time studies

Reviewing and approving contractor design drawings

This individual shall report to the Client CARE Project Managers

This individual shall have a complete understanding of all items listed in the detailed engineering phase of this document

Required

Must have a complete understanding of all industry installation standards

Minimum of (15) years automotive project experience

Minimum of (10) years of Client or equivalent specific conveyor installation experience

Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, from an accredited university or equivalent project experience as approved by Client project manager

They must have an in depth understanding of the Client conveyor standards

Must be familiar with industry standard safety, fire protection, and ventilation requirements

Must adhere to all general requirements in Staffing Matrix
