Environmental Health & Safety Engineer 3
Rubbercraft is a trusted leader in engineered elastomer solutions serving aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. They are seeking a Facilities and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer 3 who will be responsible for managing compliance with environmental regulations and ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities
Lead all EHS programs and activities taking place on Rubbercraft site in Long Beach, including:
Stormwater Management: Fill and update stormwater reports, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct and document internal audits to confirm compliance to SWPPP and all storm water regulations. Communicate with different government agencies and private organizations regarding the Storm Water. Collect storm water samples and send them to certified laboratory for analysis and prepare reports
Wastewater Management: Manage collecting waste water samples and preparing required reporting to stay
Environmental Compliance: Monitoring and managing the air quality program to make sure compliance with all SCAQMD regulations
Hazards Waste: Manage the hazards waste program and ensure the right documentation of all manifests for collections
Safety Programs: Set-up, lead, and maintain safety programs like LOTO, Confined Space, Job Safety Analysis, etc., to ensure a safe working environment for all employees
Set up and manage all the required EHS training for all employees. Ensure that all employees are up to date with required training
Emergency Response: Support emergency response plans, including fire safety and spill response procedures
Audits and Inspections: Conduct and document regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with Facilities and EHS standards and identify areas for improvement
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all Facilities and EHS activities, reports, and submissions
Perform or coordinate the routine inspection of Fire Extinguishers, Eyewash stations, Spill Kits, Exit lights, etc
Manage EHS improvement projects
Communicate with site management team regularly regarding any EHS requirements and updates
Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, or any related degree
Proven 4-5+ years' experience in managing EHS activities in manufacturing industrial facilities
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Work independently with minimum required supervision
Excellent communication skills
Excellent computer skills in using Microsoft Office and government internet sites
Preferred
Storm Water program experience is highly preferred
