Responsibilities

Assisting senior structural engineers with developing project scopes including reinforced concrete, foundation and structural steel designs, engineering estimates, capital cost estimates and developing repair methodologies

Use the application of Civil/ Structural engineering principles to provide efficient, effective, economical and timely solutions to design problems in a multidiscipline project environment

Application of innovative engineering solutions

Engineering design of repairs to structures or components

Working independently evaluating, selecting, and applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications

Required

Must be currently enrolled in and pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university

Minimum of a cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Aptitude for working on multi-disciplinary teams

Commitment to achieving engineering excellence

Ability to apply technical knowledge to various practical problems

A desire to learn and continually develop

Strong personal commitment to safety

Preferred

Candidates with previous Heavy Industrial Internship or Co-op experience is an asset

Knowledge of structural steel and concrete design is a plus

Knowledge of AISC and ACI codes is a plus

Successfully passing Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam a plus
