Selection and sizing of hardware components
Generation of electrical and fluid schematics
Author bill of materials
Panel layout design and heat calculation analysis
Pneumatic / coolant /hydraulics system sizing and plumbing
Develop system hardware architecture
Write programmable logic controller logic and function blocks
Guide/ assist / trouble shoot panel wiring
Travel onsite for customer startup and commissioning as needed
Interface with automation systems for machine tending applications
Ensure system complies with applicable OSHA / safety standards
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in electrical hardware design
Electrical design experience with EPLAN P8
Programming experience with Siemens TIA Portal
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, prioritizing them appropriately
Good organizational skills and detail-oriented
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Business travel is estimated to be approximately 25%
Preferred
German speaking ability preferred, but not required
