Responsibilities
Lead and support Systems and Database Engineering teams through scheduling, prioritization, performance management, and development
Oversee servers, operating systems, and virtualization/cloud environments (VMware, Nutanix, Azure), including upgrades and proactive monitoring
Manage enterprise database environments, including design, security, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery
Ensure high availability of mission-critical systems and enforce change management and lifecycle processes
Maintain strong documentation, reporting, workflow efficiency, and cross-team collaboration with IT and Applications
Provide 24/7 on-call leadership, escalation management, and vendor coordination as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Strong systems engineering and infrastructure administration experience
Proven expertise in database administration, performance, and recovery planning
Demonstrated leadership, communication skills, and ability to perform under pressure
Availability for 24/7 on-call support
Preferred
Familiarity with Active Directory, SAN/storage, and networking preferred
