This role involves ensuring compliance with project management methodologies, overseeing project delivery, and managing stakeholder communication and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

Use the Client’s Project Portfolio Management tool ( Clarity ) to build schedules, assign resources, and manage budgets
Monitor and control project cost, schedule, scope, quality, risks, and resources
Prepare and deliver project communications for executives, managers, and project teams
Maintain clear, accurate, and timely communication with sponsors, stakeholders, and leadership
Lead and coordinate collaboration between technical and business teams
Develop and maintain core PM deliverables throughout the project lifecycle, including project charter, schedule, budget, communication plan, status reports, risk and issue logs, change requests, and closeout documentation
Manage inter-agency communication and dependencies
Ensure adherence to SUITE PMM and SEM phase gates and lifecycle standards
Enforce formal change management and approval processes
Create corrective action plans (CAP) for projects in yellow or red status
Assess project benefits and the impact of change requests on business cases
Review and manage vendor contracts, deliverables, and approval procedures
Facilitate stakeholder alignment, clarify expectations, and ensure timely completion of deliverables
Oversee system architecture, integrations, SaaS platforms, and COTS implementations
Ensure compliance with security documentation including SSP and POAM

Required

Minimum 7 years of formal IT project management experience
Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
Extensive experience managing budgets, schedules, change requests, risks, and issues
Strong experience developing and presenting project status reports
At least 5 years of hands-on experience using Clarity PPM
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Project
Experience managing diverse stakeholders and system owners across departments
Experience overseeing technical teams and system integrations across SaaS solutions
Experience managing IT projects involving Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technologies
Experience working in a multi-vendor, government environment
Experience developing and maintaining detailed integration schedules
Prior background as a Developer or Senior Technical Project Manager
Scrum Master Certification
Experience with System Security Plans (SSP)
Experience with Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM)

Preferred

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
