They are seeking a Structured Cabling Lead to design, implement, and manage cabling projects while supervising technicians and ensuring compliance with standards and safety requirements.

Responsibilities
Build and lead the new structured cabling division from the ground up
Design and oversee installation of copper cabling systems (Category 5e, Category 6, Category 6A, etc.)
Install and configure network racks, patch panels, cable pathways, and supporting infrastructure
Implement and maintain patch cable management and labeling standards
Perform and manage onsite hourly break‑fix work (workstation, network, low‑voltage hardware, etc.)
Oversee project timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and quality assurance
Recruit, train, and supervise cabling technicians as the team expands
Collaborate directly with clients to assess needs and deliver tailored solutions
Ensure full compliance with all applicable standards, building codes, and safety requirements
Build and maintain vendor relationships, and manage materials inventory
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience in structured cabling installation and design (copper systems)
Strong understanding of Telecommunications Industry Association/Electronic Industries Alliance (TIA/EIA) standards
Familiarity with guidelines and best practices published by the Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI)
Leadership experience with the ability to build, mentor, and oversee a team
Strong communication and project management skills
Ability to work on-site and travel to client locations as needed
Preferred
Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Installer 1 Certification
Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Installer 2—Copper Certification
Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) Technician Certification
