Responsibilities
Perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance on fixed and rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, blowers, gearboxes, extruders, rotary feeders, hydraulic skids, heat exchangers, and filters
Good working proficiency in:
Welding/Pipe Fitting/Oxy Fuel Cutting
Line opening, flange breaking, gasket replacement
Bolting and torqueing
Crane Operation/Rigging
Valve, filters, and PSV change outs
Lubrication, Bearings, Couplings
Laser Alignment
Cartridge and Component mechanical seals
Precision Measuring Tools
Drill Press, Parts Washer, Grinder, sandblaster, and band saw
Specialty tools, like rams, wedges, spreaders, hydraulic torque guns, etc
Utilize prints and plant documentation, read and interpret P&IDs and machine drawings in order to resolve problems or rebuild equipment
Troubleshoot and repair rotating equipment problems, assisting in the determination of root causes of equipment failures
Perform PdM tasks, such as lubrication and vibration data collection, as needed
Assist the planner as necessary to develop accurate millwright and multicraft work plans
Search for WO’s in SAP and identify parts needed to complete work
Document work performed in procedures and/or work packages as appropriate
Write and review maintenance procedures supported by the maintenance engineer
Update equipment records and files in the plant library, as appropriate
Appropriately handle work packages, ensuring they flow from hand to hand without being misplaced
Participate in Route Cause Investigations, as required
Be available for call outs on off hours and/or weekends, to support plant operations
Work indoors and outdoors, with frequent walking, standing, and climbing, and the ability to perform elevated work using portable ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection equipment. The position also involves repetitive motion, stair climbing, and frequent lifting of weights up to 50 pounds
Perform SMP tasks, such as APTs and ISCs, according to assignments in the team activity plan for the month
Record timekeeping data and hand over timesheets to be entered in SAP to register work order details
Hand over planner feedback forms back to the planner after completion of a job to allow for planning improvements and learning opportunities
Share discoveries and learnings from day-to-day work with maintenance engineers to allow for reliability improvement initiatives
Ensure good housekeeping after completion of work
Ensure good housekeeping in the maintenance shop and tool room, ensuring all tools, rigging equipment, devices, and parts are properly maintained and available for future use
Seek out and identify training and skill enhancing opportunities to allow for career progression
Act as leads on critical jobs or when working alongside contractors, as well as in specific events such as turnarounds, pit-stop,s or unplanned outages
Keep up with training, certifications, mobile equipment licenses, and life critical requirements
Qualification
Required
Knowledgeable in the use of hand & power tools and operating certain mobile equipment
