They are seeking an experienced Level 2 Field Engineer to join their deployment team, responsible for installation, commissioning, fault-finding, and mentoring junior engineers while delivering high-quality services across various environments.

Responsibilities

Carrying out installation, commissioning, and break-fix work across a range of telecoms technologies and customer sites

Providing first line maintenance and responding to service calls within agreed SLAs

Leading on troubleshooting activities, including OTDR, Ethernet, and optical testing

Supporting structured cabling installs: copper and fibre pulling, dressing, terminating, testing

Supervising subcontractors and junior engineers, promoting best practices and safety compliance

Managing field documentation, including RAMS, audit reports, snagging, and project sign-offs

Acting as the technical point of escalation on-site during project delivery

Providing training, guidance, and lab-based coaching to newer team members

Collaborating with Network Operations Centres (NOC) to resolve faults efficiently

Occasionally supporting basic project management tasks under the guidance of the PM
