Responsibilities
Architect and implement enterprise-scale GCP landing zones , including project hierarchy, billing, IAM, networking, and security baselines
Define target-state multi-cloud architecture aligned with industry best practices
Serve as the GCP technical authority , while providing hands-on support across Azure and AWS where required
Lead architecture and execution for workload migrations from Azure to GCP , including re-host, re-platform, and re-architect approaches
Partner with AI, Data, and Application teams to productionize cloud-native workloads
Develop migration patterns, dependency mapping, and cutover strategies
Establish and enforce Infrastructure as Code standards using Terraform (preferred)
Design reusable, secure, and compliant IaC modules
Integrate IaC into CI/CD pipelines for automated and repeatable deployments
Define and implement cloud governance frameworks , including IAM, policy enforcement, cost controls, and compliance guardrails
Architect and enforce security best practices , including:
Identity and access management
Network segmentation and zero-trust principles
Encryption and key management
Secrets management
Align cloud environments with enterprise security and regulatory standards (e.g., NIST, CIS)
Design and manage enterprise GCP networking , including:
Shared VPC architectures
Hybrid connectivity (VPN, dedicated interconnects)
Load balancing, DNS, and traffic management
Support secure connectivity across GCP, Azure, AWS, and on-premises environments
Act as a trusted technical advisor to stakeholders
Produce high-quality architecture documentation and design artifacts
Lead technical reviews and guide implementation teams
Mentor engineers and contribute to internal cloud standards and playbooks
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, platform engineering, or cloud architecture
6+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure; working knowledge of AWS
Proven track record delivering enterprise cloud migrations, preferably Azure to GCP
Experience supporting production-grade, regulated, or large-scale environments
Deep expertise in GCP core services (IAM, VPC, Compute, Storage, Load Balancing)
Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Cloud security architecture and governance
Hybrid and multi-cloud networking
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Container platforms (GKE preferred)
Observability, reliability, and operational readiness
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work effectively in an onsite, client-facing environment
Strong architectural judgment and decision-making ability
Hands-on, execution-oriented mindset with strategic vision
Preferred
GCP Professional Cloud Architect certification
Experience supporting AI/ML and Data platform workloads
Experience establishing Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) standards
Background in highly regulated or enterprise-scale industries
