Start in 2026 SummerClearway Energy Group is leading the transition to a world powered by clean energy. The Safety Intern will support the Safety team in implementing safety, health, and technical training programs within fleet operations, focusing on injury prevention and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
EHS training development
Technical training development for Wind, Solar, & BESS
Maintain departmental SharePoint sites
Procedure reviews per regulatory documents
O&M Site support including but not limited to Up Tower Evaluations, Audits, Procedure creations
Answering to the Director of Safety
The Safety Intern will be assigned to an individual project and will present results to the team and leadership at the end of the internship on August 4th
Qualification
Required
Current juniors/rising seniors pursuing a bachelor's degree in safety related fields
Experience in Training & Safety such as CSP, or ASP credentials
Proficiency in SharePoint
Intellectual curiosity and an interest in renewable energy
Strong interpersonal skills
Self-motivated, dependable, and accountable
Ability to work independently, multitask and take ownership over projects and assignments
A basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, and operations
Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised and as a team member
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
Ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with all internal and external stakeholders
An understanding of the factors that influence human behavior
Ability to prioritize tasks within a fast-paced dynamic environment
Some experience in the design and delivery of technical and safety related training
Experience & proficient computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office software
Preferred
Experience in Safety regulatory compliance
Proficiency in procedure writing
