Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for the commercial banking market, including development and execution of annual growth plans aligned with bank wide objectives
Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of commercial banking professionals, ensuring strong calling discipline, portfolio oversight, and client service excellence
Drive market production goals, including loan growth, deposit growth, and overall profitability
Partner with Treasury Management, Retail Banking, Trust & Wealth, and internal support areas to expand full banking relationships and strengthen cross‑functional collaboration
Lead local business development activities to promote the Bank’s products and services and maintain the Bank’s favorable image in the marketplace
Identify, originate, and expand new commercial and personal banking relationships while managing key client relationships within the market
Build and maintain strong centers of influence (COIs), including attorneys, accountants, advisors, and community leaders
Represent the Bank at community events, industry functions, and professional organizations to enhance visibility and market presence
Maintain the credit quality of the assigned commercial portfolio by actively partnering with credit partners, monitoring performance, and ensuring ongoing compliance with policies
Analyze financial information—including balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and tax returns—to evaluate creditworthiness and recommend loan structures
Manage the Annual Review process for existing clients in partnership with Commercial Support Specialists
Proactively manage delinquencies, past dues, and early warning indicators; work to maintain acceptable risk tolerance for the market
Oversee disciplined pipeline management using the Bank’s CRM and internal systems, ensuring timely updates and execution of calling activity, follow‑ups, and prospect management
Support accurate forecasting and reporting of loan and deposit pipelines, market performance, and production trends
Fulfill responsibilities related to the Bank Secrecy Act and AML requirements, including customer identification, CTR/SAR escalation, OFAC monitoring, and maintaining required documentation
Adhere to all Federal and State regulations, Bank policies, procedures, and internal service standards
Prepare and/or review written credit memorandums for presentation and approval
Develop informed credit recommendations by assessing risk, structuring requests appropriately, and determining suitable risk ratings
Perform all other duties as assigned by management to support the strategic goals of the Bank and the assigned market

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Marketing
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in commercial lending, portfolio management, credit analysis, and relationship development
Proven ability to manage a commercial loan portfolio exceeding $2MM, with demonstrated success in portfolio growth and credit quality
Experience leading or coaching commercial banking professionals or overseeing market‑level initiatives
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); strong analytical and financial modeling skills

Preferred

Expertise in commercial and real estate underwriting practices and regulatory governance of lending activities
5–10 years of progressive experience in commercial lending or credit analysis
Prior experience in market or regional leadership, team management, or strategic planning
Strong COI network and established presence within the Florida business community
