Responsibilities
Manage the day to day accounting function which includes payroll, sales tax returns, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable
Drive best-in-class financial close process and reporting practices across operating entities
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings including multiple state sales tax returns
Provide support to the 3rd party tax accountants
Maintain a proper control environment to limit business risk and identify areas of savings for the company
Review and communicate monthly and quarterly financials to the leadership team
Establish a strategic plan and forecast process by partnering with the leadership team
Manage, retain and develop skilled accounting staff with hiring and training responsibilities
Additional controller duties as necessary
Qualification
Required

Preferred
Accounting or Finance degree
3-4 years public accounting experience and/or CPA a plus
Accounting experience to effectively manage and review the work of a small team of accountants and to develop the accounting structure
