Responsibilities

Pro-actively seek to monitor exposures and markets, and gather pertinent information from internal sources and Bloomberg, economic research and banking counterparty contacts
Complete analysis to evaluate the macroeconomic conditions, market dynamics, and price action of the various markets to estimate their potential impact on earnings, cash flow, value changes, etc
Evaluate the available market for derivatives and other hedging instruments and their relative costs, benefits, credit exposure and regulatory requirements
Evaluate the accounting treatment available for the hedging instruments relative to that of the exposures
Assist Financial Risk Directors and Financial Risk Managers in determining a market view and hedging strategies
Take positions in the financial markets to earn positive profits for the company
Facilitate orderly execution and monitoring of the FRMT’s risk management strategies. For example:
Perform all activities to negotiate, transact, monitor and manage the hedging instruments and investments
Trade various instruments with counterparties, book the transactions, complete hedge accounting documentation and monitor derivatives etc
Evaluate and report the financial performance of the company’s exposures and implemented hedges as compared to the range of possible outcomes
Generate various reports and analyses to effectively convey the performance and sensitivity of risk management strategies to stakeholders

Required

A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking
A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience
A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process

Preferred

Degree in a quantitative field such as Engineering, Finance and/or Economics
Master's degree (MBA with a finance focus preferred)
CFA Charter holder/working towards it
