This role involves overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of various construction projects, including roadway and bridge projects, and municipal utility or infrastructure projects.
Construction
Responsibilities
Perform construction administration and inspection services for state, county, and local roadway and bridge projects
Monitor and enforce quality standards and specifications, read blueprints, and contribute to a variety of construction projects
Inspect construction projects to ensure contractor compliance with state specifications, plans, and/or proposals
Verify plan quantities and calculations with bid plans, prepare and maintain project records and reports
Notify the Contractor or the Project Manager with status updates or information about non-conforming work
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required
7-15 years of experience working on transportation projects for ODOT or local municipality
Understanding of civil and engineering principles, analysis, and reporting
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Reliability, punctuality, and a team player mindset
Ability to monitor and enforce quality control standards and specifications
Proficient in reading blueprints and maintaining a client-focused approach
Collaboration and teamwork skills
Preferred
American Concrete Institute (ACI) Grade I
ODOT Asphalt Technician
NICET Level II Soils
