Responsibilities

Perform various functions but not limited to; Accounts payable, reconciling Procurement-Cards purchases, eProcurement - purchasing of goods and contractual services, usage orders, assets and E-billing
Accuracy Required in Work
The highest level of accuracy is essential for this position
This level of accuracy is critically important because work completed by this position has a direct and indirect financial effect on government agencies at the local, state, and federal levels, communities and citizens of North Carolina affected by the mission critical statewide programs and activities of the Division
The position receives minimum instruction from the Business Officer and the Division Senior DS and Directors in the accomplishment of assigned duties and responsibilities
All duties are to be carried out in accordance with the policies, rules, and regulations of the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, Division of Rehabilitation and Reentry, the State of North Carolina, and any applicable federal guidelines or regulations
The employee must be able to readily adapt to change
Change includes but is not limited to the ability to communicate to a diverse audience (e.g., social and economic, age, gender, education); fluidity in the scope of work and / or tasks assigned at any given moment; and the ability to multi-task
Confidentiality and excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are critical in order to react to the demands of the division
Position does allow for Telework part of the week to be approved by the supervisor

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and four years of related administrative experience
Ability to perform various functions including Accounts payable, reconciling Procurement-Cards purchases, eProcurement - purchasing of goods and contractual services, usage orders, assets and E-billing
Ability to adapt to change and communicate to a diverse audience
Ability to multi-task
Confidentiality and excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Ability to carry out duties in accordance with the policies, rules, and regulations of the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction, Division of Rehabilitation and Reentry, the State of North Carolina, and any applicable federal guidelines or regulations
Willingness to undergo a criminal background check
Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions

Preferred

Documented working experience with the NC Financial System (NCFS)
Documented working experience with NC eProcurement
Documented working experience with Microsoft Office Software programs; Outlook, Word, Excel and SharePoint
