Assistant Data Officer -Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC)-Non-Tenured (NT)
The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking an Assistant Data Officer to coordinate the strategic use of data within the Kentucky Court of Justice. This role involves supporting evidence-based policy research and enhancing statistical reporting processes.

Responsibilities
Coordinate evidence-based policy evaluations within the Kentucky court of justice
Support external research using KCOJ data
Review and provide feedback for proposed research publications that involve the use of KCOJ data
Document, review, and enhance tools, definitions, and procedures to continuously improve the AOC's statistical reporting process
Embrace defined departmental project delivery methodology through adoption and usage of templates and processes defined by the organization to complete daily tasks
Work with the research and statistics team to complete statistical and data requests for internal and external stakeholders
Assist with personnel matters as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Masters degree including statistical analysis and research
5 years of research and statistics experience
Strong understanding of statistical and research methods
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional, facilitation, and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on coaching and motivational skills, enthusiasm, and positive attitude
Code proficiency in at least one statistical analysis syntax (r, Stata, SAS, SPSS, etc.); data visualization platform (tableau, power bi, etc.); or other similar language or software (SQL etc.)
Ability to quickly master new software and code syntax
Ability to present complex ideas in a business-friendly and user-friendly manner
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Highly self-motivated and directed
Advanced problem solving, logic, and conflict resolution skills
In-depth hands-on knowledge of Microsoft product suite, particularly word, excel, and PowerPoint
Experience in meeting facilitation and negotiation skills
Advanced time management skills
Experience working in a team oriented, collaborative environment
Preferred
Advanced understanding of court processes and concepts is a plus
