Account & Business Development Manager (Sales & Marketing) – IT Consulting & Staffing

Responsibilities
Identify, research, and prospect new client organizations for IT consulting and staffing services
Build and manage long-term relationships with key client stakeholders (HR, hiring managers, IT leadership)
Understand client hiring and project needs and work closely with the recruiting/delivery team to provide suitable IT talent and solutions
Own the full business development cycle: lead generation, outreach (email, calls, LinkedIn), discovery meetings, proposal creation, negotiations, and deal closure
Manage and grow existing accounts by identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities and ensuring high client satisfaction
Prepare and deliver capability presentations, proposals, rate cards, and agreements to clients
Maintain an organized sales pipeline, track activities, and update opportunities using basic CRM or tracking tools
Support marketing efforts such as campaigns, email sequences, LinkedIn outreach, and participation in webinars/events to generate leads
Gather market and competitor insights to refine positioning, offerings, and go-to-market strategies
Meet and exceed targets for revenue, margins, number of active clients, and placements
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, IT, or a related field
Strong verbal and written communication skills with confidence in client-facing conversations
Genuine interest in IT services, consulting, and staffing/recruitment
High energy, self-driven, and eager to learn sales, business development, and account management in a startup environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks, follow up consistently, and maintain basic documentation
2–5 years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or recruitment; IT services or staffing experience preferred
Proven experience in managing client accounts, building pipelines, and achieving sales or placement targets
Familiarity with common IT roles (developers, QA, cloud engineers, data engineers, analysts, etc.) and staffing models (contract, contract-to-hire, permanent)
Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and objection-handling skills
Experience using CRM/spreadsheet tools to track leads, opportunities, and performance metrics
Preferred
Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset with comfort working in a fast-changing startup environment
Strong networking skills and ability to build rapport quickly with clients and candidates
Results-oriented, target-driven, and comfortable with outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn)
Collaborative, with the ability to work closely with recruiting, delivery, and leadership teams
Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (social media, email campaigns, content) is a plus
